Brown
About Me
Ramirez Brown is a 26-year-old black gay man currently trying to take over the world the right way! He is the founder of RBrown Advocacy, an organization that highlights the importance of sexual health (education) through the lens of fashion. He is also obtaining his MFA in Fashion Merchandising and Management. He has always been passionate about fashion, starting from styling friends and family for events. He’s originally from Los Angeles but has lived in the Bay Area (Oakland, CA) since 2017. After being diagnosed with HIV, his long-term mission/goal in life is to advocate, fight, and eventually end this epidemic. He has worked with local Bay Area organizations, such as East Bay Getting To Zero, as their Youth Engagement Specialist, and with federal organizations, including Advocates for Youth, as a member of their Board of Directors. He is also a proud member of the Community Advisory Board at USCF in San Francisco. Since his positive status, he likes to think of it as his “worst blessing.” He always wanted to change the world, but he just didn’t know how. Now he knows his purpose is to make sure black LGBQT+ folk feel loved, welcomed, appreciated, and no one else is diagnosed.
