The purpose of this event is to support and spread body positivity and autonomy. In a world/country where rights are being taken away and we are made to feel unsafe, the goal of this event is to give everyone from all walks of life a safe space to access resources and have fun. Youth participants (14-18) and chaperons (families) will be asked to dress up as their favorite smexy icon (ex: Donna Summer, Lil Nas X, Nina Simone, Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, Jimi Hendrix, Lil Kim, Sexxy Red etc) representing sex positivity. Through a themed event featuring STD/HIV tabling resources and a planned activity, participants will also gain a deeper understanding of the intersectionality between fashion and sexual health.
